Throwback Thursday

I am dedicating my first Throwback Thursday post to my trip to Italy last year. So, in July of 2013, I went to Positano, Italy (a.k.a. heaven on earth) for 10 days with my boyfriend and his family. We stayed at one hotel our whole time there: Le Sirenuse. Le Sirenuse was absolutely wonderful. The hotel has the most breathtaking views, the most delicious food, the nicest staff, and the loveliest decor. While in Italy, we also visited Capri, Ravello, and Sorrento. It was literally the best vacation I have ever been on and I highly, highly, highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Italy is just the most beautiful place. I cannot wait until we make our second trip there in 2017.

Below are just some of the many pictures I took while in Italy. Unfortunately, I was not yet blogging at the time, so most of my pictures will star my handsome boyfriend along with me.

Burberry Love Affair

I feel like we all have a go to designer that we tend to buy more of than others (or a few designers...). One of these designers for me is Burberry. I just love the elegance, class, and timelessness of Burberry's designs. It adds just enough detail without taking away from an outfit. Anyway, I thought I'd share my Burberry collection with you guys, since I just took my earmuffs out of the box today as I prep for the colder weather.

Below, I've included some other Burberry items I've been eyeing lately.

Crème de la Crème

I wanted this Zoe Karssen sweatshirt for almost 2 years before I was finally able to make this baby mine. I first saw it in the Bloomie's catalog and fell head over heels for it, but I wasn't working because I was going to school full-time (womp womp), so I felt guilty spending that much on a sweatshirt. I asked for it for Christmas, though, figuring that would be a great gift. Apparently, my sister searched all over and the black and white was sold out in my size and when I had finally settled on another color, low and behold, that one became sold out too. I would check Zoe Karssen's website sporadically hoping it would come back in stock, but it seemed it never did in my size. Finally, after a 2 months of not checking, I randomly thought about the sweatshirt again and decided to see if it was available. It must have been my lucky day because it finally was available in my size! Granted, this was August and it was way too hot to wear a sweatshirt. So, now that the weather has cooled down, I am glad to say I can finally wear my beloved Crème de la Crème, Zoe Karssen sweatshirt :)

P.S. It so SO comfortable!

Caramel

I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy caramel. The sweet yet salty components of it make it sinfully delicious, either by itself or in chocolate, ice cream, or on an apple (perfect fall treat!). However, the caramel I'm discussing here is the color. This caramel sweater by Cynthia Rowley is super comfy and warm for this NY weather that is cooling down very quickly and it's also such a great fall color. I do love me some brown, as well, but I definitely favor caramel due to the fact that it is much lighter and can be matched with a variety of different colors. Brown, on the other hand, does not seem to pair well with many other colors, especially not black. It's very difficult to pull off, in my opinion. Here, I decided to pair my caramel sweater with some black jeans, cognac boots, and my Burberry tote.
